What this site collects and what it does with it.

The short version. Octothorped.com is a small site run by one person. It does not track you. No analytics, no advertising, no third-party trackers, no cookies set by anything I wrote. The site collects email addresses you give me through the forms. It uses them to reply to you and, if you signed up for the weekly read, to send you that read when it's running. That's it.

The longer version follows in case you need it.

#What I collect

Three things, and only when you actively give them to me:

• Form submissions. If you fill out the weekly signal form, I get your email address. If you fill out a contact form, I get your email address, an optional name, an optional message, and the topic you selected. Submissions are delivered to my inbox by a service called Web3Forms.
• Server access logs. The site is hosted on Netlify. Netlify keeps short-term access logs containing IP address, browser type, and the pages requested. This is standard for any web host and I can't disable it. Netlify's privacy policy governs that data.
• Booking data, only if you click "Book a Convergence Session." That link takes you off this site to cal.com, which collects what it needs to schedule (name, email, time). Cal.com's privacy policy governs that data, not mine.

That's everything. No analytics. No tracking pixels. No fingerprinting. The pages themselves do not set any cookies on your browser.

#What I use it for

• Email addresses from the contact form: to reply to you.
• Email addresses from the weekly signal form: to send you the weekly intelligence read once that's running.
• Booking data: to schedule the session you requested.

I do not sell your data. I do not share it with advertisers. I do not feed it to any machine-learning model.

#Who else sees it

Three services keep the site running:

• Web3Forms receives the form data and forwards it to my inbox. They process the data under my instruction.
• Cal.com handles bookings, but only if you click the booking link. They are the controller for whatever you give them there.
• Netlify hosts the site and keeps standard server logs.

I have no other partners, no analytics processors, no ad networks.

#How long I keep it

• Emails you send me stay in my inbox until I delete them.
• Netlify server logs follow Netlify's retention, which is typically about thirty days.
• If you ask me to delete your data, I delete it.

#The weekly read

I'm still selecting the platform that will send the weekly intelligence email. Until then, signups sit in my inbox. When the newsletter platform launches, every email will include a one-click unsubscribe link. Until then, you can ask to be removed at any time by sending a message via the contact form.

#Your rights

You can ask me what data I have on you, ask me to delete it, or ask me to stop emailing you. Send a message through the contact form on the site and I'll handle it personally. There is no separate "data subject rights portal" because there is no team. It's me.

If you're in the EU or UK and you believe I have mishandled your data, you have the right to lodge a complaint with your national data protection authority. I would prefer you talk to me first.

#Cookies

The site does not set any cookies. If you click through to Cal.com, GitHub, or any other third-party link from here, those sites set their own cookies under their own policies.

#Children

I don't knowingly collect data from anyone under sixteen. If you're under sixteen, please don't fill out the forms.

#Changes

If I update this policy, I'll update the date at the bottom. The site is small enough that changes will be rare and obvious.
